Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
A franchise passer in Milroe headlines a B+ weekend for the Jets.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Kevin Winston Jr. tumbling to the Jets in No. 184 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They have staked the next five years on Jalen Milroe, which is the only story that really matters here. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast.

Milroe has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Mason Graham
No drama and no debate, Mason Graham went about where he belonged in Round 1, Pick 7. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick24 Rnd1 Jalen Milroe
In the 24th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick42 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka slid further than he should have, and pick No. 42 is lovely value for the wide receiver. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick68 Rnd3 Darien Porter
They jumped the gun on Darien Porter, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick109 Rnd4 Smael Mondon Jr.
Smael Mondon Jr. at pick 109 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick144 Rnd5 Mason Taylor
They will replay Mason Taylor at the 144th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick184 Rnd6 Kevin Winston Jr.
Steal is underselling it; Kevin Winston Jr. at No. 184 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
