Draft Grade — Bills
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
Jones should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a D.

The phones were a trap the Bills kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Polk lower, and that gap is the story. Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, offensive lineman very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick28 Rnd1 Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick No. 28 they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick44 Rnd2 Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper in slot 44 is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick60 Rnd2 Ja'Lynn Polk
They paid a round early for Ja'Lynn Polk in the 60th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick112 Rnd4 Maason Smith
Maason Smith at pick 112 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick128 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
Good price on Johnny Wilson in the Round 4 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick134 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Somehow Elijah Jones was still sitting there in No. 134, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
