This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Malaki Starks, the No. 27 name on the board, stolen at the 72nd overall pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They will need Ratledge to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
