The Bears let Gordon II fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

Somebody in pick No. 197 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Ollie Gordon II, the No. 167 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Every board in the league had Jackson lower, and that gap is the story.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
