The Patriots did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Colston Loveland fell into the Round 4 slot.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
