Call it larceny. Tyler Davis sat on the board until the 180th pick, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Wilson lower, and that gap is the story.

The Patriots paired the rookies with proven help, Zion Johnson leading the way.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
