The Patriots won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The veteran additions, Rashawn Slater chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
