The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Cam Ward, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

That Thornton Jr. pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Lambert-Smith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
