Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

FutureB-
Dart is the plan now, and the Giants grade out a C+. The Giants spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tommi Hill, the No. 160 name on the board, in the Round 7 slot. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.
The whole projection now runs through Jaxson Dart; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Reaching for Dart left real value on the table behind him.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
So much rides on Jaxson Dart that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Jaxson Dart
In the Round 1 slot they get the face of the franchise, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
Pick34
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
Value said wait; Donovan Ezeiruaku in No. 34 says they were not listening. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick65
Rnd3
Dylan Sampson
They took Dylan Sampson at par in pick No. 65, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick99
Rnd3
Charles Grant
A slide stopped in the 99th overall pick, with Charles Grant worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick105
Rnd4
Lathan Ransom
A straight-up fair deal on Lathan Ransom at slot 105, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick154
Rnd5
Barryn Sorrell
The board had cheaper options than Barryn Sorrell at the 154th pick, and it noticed. It fills a real need, too.
Pick219
Rnd7
Tommi Hill
They barely believed it either: Tommi Hill still on the board at Round 7, Pick 3. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick246
Rnd7
Thomas Fidone II
Thomas Fidone II at the Round 7 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
