Draft Grade — Falcons

The Falcons cashed the board's mistake on Green: B-. For all the boxes ticked, the Falcons skipped the loudest one: offensive lineman is exactly as bare as it was. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
They banked enough surplus on Green to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every board in the league had Biggers lower, and that gap is the story. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a premier pass rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick46
Rnd2
Mike Green
Somehow Mike Green was still sitting there in the 46th pick, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick118
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 118th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick218
Rnd7
Donovan Edwards
Donovan Edwards slipping to pick No. 218 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick242
Rnd7
Zeek Biggers
A reach on Zeek Biggers in pick 242; the board had better options right there. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
