Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Fadil Diggs at Round 6, Pick 17 is 43 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

The Bengals indulged a want in Rucker while a need in cornerback, tight end and other spots stayed open. However the rest shakes out, Pierce at that price is a win they earned. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.

Good price on Isaiah Bond in the Round 3 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
