Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Ward is the plan now, and the Raiders grade out a B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Xavier Restrepo, the No. 49 name on the board, stolen at the 216th overall pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The whole projection now runs through Cam Ward; hit there and everything else looks smarter. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In pick 6 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick37 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
Taking Ashton Jeanty in pick No. 37 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick68 Rnd3 Tre Harris
Tre Harris in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick73 Rnd3 Walter Nolen
They will replay Walter Nolen at Round 3, Pick 9 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick104 Rnd4 Wyatt Milum
They robbed the room for Wyatt Milum here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick139 Rnd5 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker in the 139th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick181 Rnd6 Dylan Fairchild
Steal is underselling it; Dylan Fairchild at the 181st overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick212 Rnd6 Zy Alexander
Zy Alexander at pick No. 212 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick216 Rnd7 Xavier Restrepo
You do not let a wide receiver like Xavier Restrepo reach No. 216 and blink. They did not. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick221 Rnd7 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at pick 221 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
