The Vikings found their guy under center in Williams: A-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Vikings spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.
However the rest shakes out, Davis at that price is a win they earned. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Vikings had louder needs to answer first. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.
Bottom line, with Caleb Williams leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
