Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Bears spent the Round 4 slot on Darius Robinson, a name the board had a full 41 spots lower. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The James Conner deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
