Maye is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a C+.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Drake Maye, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.

The Washington reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

If Drake Maye and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
