The 49ers bled value on every deal, hence the D+. The rest of the league had time to spare on KJ Jefferson; the 49ers did not wait, grabbing him 121 spots ahead at the Round 7 slot.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. James falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Dion Dawkins deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
