The Cowboys found their guy under center in Williams: D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Cowboys, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. On value alone, Williams makes the weekend a net positive. It is not that Isaac is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
