The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Packers watched Ryan Flournoy slide 40 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

If Cole pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Spending an early pick on linebacker with quarterback, tight end and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
