Martinez should have been long gone. The Cowboys pounced, and earned a A-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Damien Martinez at the 249th overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Hancock reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
