Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

The Cardinals cashed the board's mistake on Judkins: A. Somebody in pick 161 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cardinals sat still while Quinshon Judkins, the No. 70 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The veteran additions, Dorian Williams chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Shemar Stewart and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Shemar Stewart
In the 30th overall pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick47
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
They robbed the room for Jalon Walker here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick78
Rnd3
Xavier Watts
Xavier Watts at No. 78 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick97
Rnd3
Elic Ayomanor
They barely believed it either: Elic Ayomanor still on the board at slot 97. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick129
Rnd4
Elijah Arroyo
Elijah Arroyo at Round 4, Pick 28 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick131
Rnd4
Jake Majors
Circle this one: Jake Majors at the 131st pick is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick140
Rnd5
Cam Skattebo
The board fumbled Cam Skattebo all the way to pick 140, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick153
Rnd5
Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter at the Round 5 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick161
Rnd5
Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins in No. 161 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
