You could see the war room lean forward. Phil Mafah at Round 7, Pick 36 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The cost of the Prieskorn reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. With offensive lineman, interior defensive lineman and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them.

Leaving offensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
