Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
The Jets won the night they stopped Bowen from sliding. Grade: B+.

The Jets did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Drayk Bowen fell into the Round 4 slot.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Every board in the league had Humphreys lower, and that gap is the story.

The Jalen Carter pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In pick No. 4 they get a downhill hitter at safety. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick104 Rnd4 Drayk Bowen
They barely believed it either: Drayk Bowen still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick139 Rnd5 Nic Anderson
A clean, defensible pick in Round 5, Pick 1 with a little surplus value in Nic Anderson. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick182 Rnd6 Barion Brown
Barion Brown in the 182nd pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick197 Rnd6 Jalon Daniels
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Jalon Daniels in No. 197, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick209 Rnd6 Lawson Luckie
They took Lawson Luckie at par in the 209th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick210 Rnd6 London Humphreys
London Humphreys at slot 210 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick251 Rnd7 Ty Simpson
A quarterback of that caliber at pick 251 is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick253 Rnd7 Johntay Cook II
Fair-plus on Johntay Cook II, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
