You could see the war room lean forward. Sonny Styles at No. 126 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
