Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall

ValueD

TradesA+
FutureA+
Ewers is the Raiders' new face under center. Grade: B+. There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took Quinn Ewers a full 72 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
Whatever Quinn Ewers becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Getting Marks where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Quinn Ewers
In pick No. 20 they get a franchise quarterback, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Pick44
Rnd2
Malaki Starks
Malaki Starks at Round 2, Pick 12 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick76
Rnd3
Nohl Williams
Nohl Williams in pick 76 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick108
Rnd4
Tai Felton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tai Felton at slot 108 is the proof. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick143
Rnd5
Riley Leonard
Value with a capital V on Riley Leonard in the Round 5 slot, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick149
Rnd5
Trevor Etienne
No edge and no loss on Trevor Etienne in No. 149; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick174
Rnd5
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins in No. 174 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick180
Rnd6
Chase Lundt
A tidy little value on Chase Lundt in the 180th pick, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick213
Rnd6
Caleb Ransaw
A clean, defensible pick in slot 213 with a little surplus value in Caleb Ransaw. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick215
Rnd6
Woody Marks
The board fumbled Woody Marks all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick222
Rnd7
Maxen Hook
They let Maxen Hook come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 6. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
