The Cowboys did not so much draft Nyjalik Kelly as overpay for him, 48 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

Getting Halton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spending an early pick on edge rusher with offensive lineman, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
