Grand theft in No. 31: the Seahawks steal Reese and grade out a B.

You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Seahawks spent the Round 3 slot on D'Angelo Ponds while edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots sat unaddressed. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. That Reese pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The cost of the Ponds reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In pick No. 31 they get the heartbeat of the defense at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick63 Rnd2 Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad at the 63rd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick95 Rnd3 D'Angelo Ponds
A surprising call. With edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots still to address, they spent Round 3, Pick 31 on D'Angelo Ponds, a cornerback they were not short of.
Pick183 Rnd6 Monroe Mills
Monroe Mills at pick 183 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
