Daniels is the plan now, and the Commanders grade out a A-.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They will answer for taking linebacker early while cornerback, edge rusher and other spots went begging.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Jones has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.

A premium they did not need to pay, Jackson Powers-Johnson a notch or two before his time. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
