The Commanders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kyle Monangai fell into pick No. 250. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention. They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
