A costly weekend of dealing drags the Commanders to a D. The tape said wait; the Commanders did not. Riley Nowakowski went at the 198th pick, a good 75 picks before the board was ready.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. With offensive lineman, running back and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them. That offensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
