You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cowboys did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They banked enough surplus on Pearsall to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Mahogany pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
