After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Jayden Daniels is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

Magee at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game. They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
