There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Jamaree Caldwell a full 93 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Bassa. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
