There is conviction, and then there is this. The 49ers took Jaylen Harrell a full 33 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Getting Johnson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
