Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The Raiders treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the Round 6 slot on Brady Cook a full 70 spots early.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Harvey where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In the 6th overall pick they get a workhorse for the backfield. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at the 37th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick68 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
They paid sticker price for Maxwell Hairston in pick No. 68, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick108 Rnd4 Nick Nash
A real head-scratcher, Nick Nash in slot 108 is miles ahead of his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick143 Rnd5 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A wild overpay on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in Round 5, Pick 5, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick180 Rnd6 RJ Harvey
A quiet steal in No. 180: RJ Harvey for less than the market said. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick213 Rnd6 Hayden Conner
Hayden Conner in slot 213 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick215 Rnd6 Brady Cook
Brady Cook at the 215th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick222 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
Cody Lindenberg at the 222nd pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
