The Raiders spent the pick that matters most on Fernando Mendoza, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They banked enough surplus on Lew to cover a lot of smaller sins.

The cost of the Castell reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
