Mendoza is the plan now, and the Raiders grade out a C-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The World reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Getting Boerkircher where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the real verdict is a season or two away.
