The Raiders bet the future on Mendoza. The board says C-.

Start where it matters. The Raiders took Fernando Mendoza to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Call it a C- and check back in two years.

They banked enough surplus on Lawson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

They will need McCullough to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.

Pick1 Rnd1 Fernando Mendoza

In slot 1 they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.

Pick36 Rnd2 Blake Miller

Blake Miller at pick 36 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
