The Ben Sinnott selection is the head-turner. The Cowboys reached 51 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Rice.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
