Draft Grade — Rams
Overall D
ValueA NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Rams and Echoles: D.

The Rams lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Echoles pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, wide receiver very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick52 Rnd2 Will Echoles
They will replay Will Echoles at pick 52 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick114 Rnd4 Ty Benefield
Ty Benefield in slot 114 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick122 Rnd4 Faletau Satuala
You do not let a safety like Faletau Satuala reach pick No. 122 and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick163 Rnd5 Adon Shuler
Taking Adon Shuler in the 163rd pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick198 Rnd6 King Mack
Quietly one of the better values of the day, King Mack at No. 198. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick215 Rnd6 Kayin Lee
Somehow Kayin Lee was still sitting there in the Round 6 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
