A respectable, level-headed haul for the 49ers: B-.

The rest of the league had time to spare on Bryce Lance; the 49ers did not wait, grabbing him 35 spots ahead at the Round 3 slot.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Avieon Terrell
In the 26th pick they get an island corner at fair value. More want than need.
Pick57 Rnd2 Darrell Jackson Jr.
They paid sticker price for Darrell Jackson Jr. in No. 57, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick91 Rnd3 Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance at Round 3, Pick 27 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick126 Rnd4 Iapani Laloulu
They left a pile of value on the table to take Iapani Laloulu this early at the 126th overall pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Blake Miller
Blake Miller in pick No. 134 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick139 Rnd4 Jacob Rodriguez
They reached into another round for Jacob Rodriguez, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick140 Rnd4 Justin Joly
No edge and no loss on Justin Joly in the 140th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
