The 49ers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the 49ers spent slot 139 on Gracen Halton, a name most had 59 spots down the list. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Reese that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
