The Rams let Nash fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Nick Nash got past him. The Rams do not have to explain a thing at slot 201. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

They are betting Lundt proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Shemar Stewart
In pick No. 26 they get a double-digit-sack hope, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick90 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba is a better player than the 90th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick101 Rnd3 Miles Frazier
A reach for Miles Frazier in pick 101; a little patience would have been rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick127 Rnd4 Chase Lundt
A wild overpay on Chase Lundt in slot 127, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick190 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
A reach on Jay Higgins in the 190th overall pick; the board had better options right there. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick195 Rnd6 Carson Vinson
They reached a country mile for Carson Vinson at Round 6, Pick 19, and the board is aghast. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick201 Rnd6 Nick Nash
They barely believed it either: Nick Nash still on the board at the Round 6 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick202 Rnd6 Jaydon Blue
Taking Jaydon Blue in No. 202 is close to grand larceny; a running back that good had no business lasting this long. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
