The 49ers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The 49ers did exactly that with Xavier Truss in pick 252.

However the rest shakes out, Edwards at that price is a win they earned. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The trade work was a quiet net positive. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
