A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B- weekend for the Raiders.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Reaching for Cooper Jr. left real value on the table behind him. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Fernando Mendoza
In the 2nd overall pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value.
Pick33 Rnd2 Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane at Round 2, Pick 1 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick67 Rnd3 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. at pick No. 67 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102 Rnd4 Emmanuel McNeil-Warren
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the Round 4 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick111 Rnd4 Kaytron Allen
Fair-plus on Kaytron Allen, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick136 Rnd4 Diego Pavia
Diego Pavia at slot 136 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
