Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureD
The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Stutsman: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Danny Stutsman got past him. The Bills do not have to explain a thing at No. 172. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. If Sanders pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Bills clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 T.J. Sanders
In the 30th pick they get an anchor for the defensive front, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60 Rnd2 Nic Scourton
Nothing to complain about; Nic Scourton went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick61 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
A straight-up fair deal on Kenneth Grant at slot 61, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick130 Rnd4 Tyler Warren
They barely believed it either: Tyler Warren still on the board at pick 130. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick138 Rnd4 Jake Majors
They will replay Jake Majors at pick No. 138 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick172 Rnd5 Danny Stutsman
Somehow Danny Stutsman was still sitting there in Round 5, Pick 34, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick179 Rnd6 Xavier Nwankpa
By-the-book stuff, Xavier Nwankpa at the 179th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
