Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall

ValueB

FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Seahawks. The Seahawks did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jalen Coker fell into slot 235. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The cost of the Cohen reach is exactly the players who went right after him. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In pick 28 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60
Rnd2
Tyler Nubin
Tyler Nubin in Round 2, Pick 28 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick102
Rnd4
Ben Sinnott
By-the-book stuff, Ben Sinnott at the 102nd overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick118
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Cedric Gray in Round 4, Pick 18 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick133
Rnd4
Tanor Bortolini
They reached into another round for Tanor Bortolini, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick159
Rnd5
Josh Newton
Josh Newton at slot 159 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick173
Rnd5
Javion Cohen
A real head-scratcher, Javion Cohen in pick 173 is miles ahead of his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick179
Rnd6
James Williams
James Williams in the 179th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick192
Rnd6
Joe Milton III
A big swing on Joe Milton III at pick No. 192, well ahead of any board in the building. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick235
Rnd7
Jalen Coker
They will replay Jalen Coker at No. 235 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
