The McKade Mettauer selection is the head-turner. The Bengals reached 70 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Pearsall steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
