The cost of the Simpkins III reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
