The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bears were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.
