Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureC
Williams is the plan now, and the Ravens grade out a B.

After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Ravens committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. On value alone, Davis makes the weekend a net positive.

They will need Cooper to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
Marvin Harrison Jr. at slot 1 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick3 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In No. 3 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
Pick4 Rnd1 Brock Bowers
In the Round 1 slot they get a matchup weapon at tight end at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick5 Rnd1 Joe Alt
In Round 1, Pick 5 they get a long-term starter on the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick7 Rnd1 Laiatu Latu
They paid sticker price for Laiatu Latu in pick 7, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick10 Rnd1 Kool-Aid McKinstry
In pick No. 10 they get a lockdown presence outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick11 Rnd1 Bralen Trice
They took Bralen Trice at par in the 11th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The roster fit checks out.
Pick15 Rnd1 Edgerrin Cooper
In the 15th overall pick they get a green-dot type in the middle, though they paid up to get him. More want than need.
Pick16 Rnd1 Malik Nabers
Malik Nabers slid further than he should have, and pick No. 16 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It fills a real need, too.
Pick36 Rnd2 Jordan Morgan
They jumped the gun on Jordan Morgan, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick42 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
A tidy little value on T.J. Tampa in the 42nd overall pick, a step better than break-even. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick61 Rnd2 Jonah Elliss
They read the board right and Jonah Elliss was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 29. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick79 Rnd3 Kris Jenkins
Taking Kris Jenkins in pick 79 is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick129 Rnd4 Tyler Davis
Tyler Davis in slot 129 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134 Rnd4 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson in the 134th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick144 Rnd5 Donovan Jackson
A tidy bit of business in No. 144, where Donovan Jackson graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick166 Rnd5 Donovan Edwards
A slide stopped in pick No. 166, with Donovan Edwards worth more than the price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick185 Rnd6 Moose Muhammad III
They barely believed it either: Moose Muhammad III still on the board at pick 185. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick228 Rnd7 Jordan Magee
No edge and no loss on Jordan Magee in Round 7, Pick 8; it is a wash and a sensible one. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
